Antique mahogany

Our antique reproduction furniture and antique mahogany collection is made by skilled craftsmen using traditional methods. All our antique reproduction furniture is made from the finest mahogany. Here at Anderson Bradshaw we have many satisfied customers as we take great pride in our reputation and are committed to giving an honest and accurate description of all our antique mahogany reproduction furniture.

Anderson Bradshaw specialises in making traditional antique reproduction furniture. Throughout the manufacturing process traditional methods implemented by skilled craftsmen ensure that the furniture is beautifully made.

Reproduction furniture is a way of having a piece of history in your home without it being worn, damaged or extremely costly.

We have a wide range of antique reproduction furniture from the popular ‘sleigh bed’ to occasional furniture, bookcases and much more.

The mahogany which we use in our furniture production is the species Swietenia mahagoni. Originally known as West Indian or Cuban Mahogany, it was introduced to Central Java by Dutch settlers from the 17th century onwards. Mahogany has a generally straight grain and is usually free of voids and pockets. It has a reddish-brown colour which darkens over time, and displays a beautiful reddish sheen when polished. It has excellent workability, and is very durable and slow to rot. These properties make it a favourable wood for making furniture.

At Anderson Bradshaw, we recreate the opulence of antique mahogany furniture, combining only the best materials with dedicated craftsmanship to give you a magnificent collection of reproduction furniture.
